Healthy Me!

Good Tuesday morning to You! Every morning I typically roll out of bed and head straight to the kitchen to brew up my latte. While my Nespresso machine is hard at work, I open the cupboard and reach for my daily vitamin medley.

-Women's gummie multi-vitamin (all the essentials)
-Omega 3 / Fish Oil Gummies (raises HDL "good cholesterol", fights cancers, and the list goes on...)
-Biotin (great for hair, skin, and nails)

Read more about the benefits of Omega 3 vitamins here

Do you take vitamins daily?

Happy Monday, Plummies! One thing I haven't figured out yet is: whether to wear my hair up, or down on the big day. It will be an outdoor wedding, so I know I want my hair to be romantic, soft, and somewhat undone (not too structured or neat). Even a bit of messiness, like some of the pictures above, would be ideal!

One thing I do know for sure is: I want to wear something in my hair. A flower, a feather, jewels, etc! If I don't find something affordable on Etsy, I will head to the craft store to create my own. :)
PS. Did you know that Etsy has a section dedicated to bridal hair accessories? Check it out here

Have a beautiful beginning of your week, and I will see you back here in a couple days. Xoxo

Lip Saver

Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm

Happy Friday, Plummies! Lately, it's been scorching hot here in San Diego (just the way I like it!), which has caused me to wear very minimal makeup.

Due to humidity, I have been neglecting all my high-gloss lip products for easy to wear balms and stains. I have had Burt's Bees Hibiscus Tinted Lip Balm in my bin-o-lippies for quite some time now, but I've just come to realize what a miracle it is.

It is my own lip color, but BETTER. It adds just the right amount of color to my face, moisturizes without overdoing it, and does not leave that nasty white film on the inner lining of my lips (some of you know exactly what I am talking about). In the morning, I can wash my face, slap some Burt on my lips and hit the gym without feeling like a pale-faced zombie (haha, how 'bout that for a description?!)

Ok, have a spectacular day, Darlings!

Top of the Thursday morning to Ya!

For some time now I have been noticing a pretty unique trend emerge...Has anyone else been spotting "Mid Knuckle Rings"? I am sorta on the fence about these little guys. I haven't yet given one a go, perhaps because I don't think I'd feel comfy having a metal loop sit at the edge of my long skinny fingers. I imagine being too preoccupied with the worry of them falling off. But hey, I guess I shouldn't knock it 'til I try it.

Some cute ones found here, here, and here.

Thoughts?

Gray Matter: Back to School

Gray Matter

Long sleeve dress, $320 / Denim shirt / Studded loafer / Alexander Wang leather backpack / Gold jewelry / Burberry fragrance / Kiehl's nivea lip care

Kumusta (Hello), Plummies! I know many think otherwise, but for me, comfort is the most crucial aspect of any outfit. If it ain't comfy, it ain't worth it!

For many of you, late August means BACK TO SCHOOL time! Here in San Diego, we are hanging on to our Summer time weather, which makes going back to school/ or into work difficult because, let's face it, the beach and hiking trails seem much more appealing.

Above is my rendition of a typical outfit I would have worn to school. The shirt dress is versitile because for work, I would just swap out the chambray shirt for a polished blazer and I am good to go. Simple, easy, comfortable.  Xo

Produce Subscription?

Happy Friday, Plummies!

For about 6 months now, Karl and I have been subscribed to a program (CSA) that delivers organic produce baskets to a drop-off sight near our home. Basically, we pay $40 every 2 weeks to get a Be Wise Ranch basket filled with an assortment of fresh fruits and vegetables, which we pick up at a neighbor's front porch. The program is wonderful because it allows us to not only eat more fruits and veggies, but since we never know what we are going to receive, it allows us to be exposed to an array of different types of produce that we may not have otherwise thought to try. The CSA program also supports local small business farms :) Power to the small businesses!

Where do you get your groceries?

Happy Wednesday, Plummies! Lately I've been in major wedding-mode! It's actually tons of fun, and I can just imagine how rewarding and exciting it is for wedding planners to do this stuff day in and day out. By the way, I just met with my future wedding planner. Her name is Cynthia, she is located here in San Diego, and I can already tell she will be amazing to work with.
*Tip: when meeting with a potential wedding coordinator, make sure your style and personalities click during your initial consultation appointment.

Today's topic: Wedding Tables! I have been scouring the internet for reception table idea for a few weeks now, and I have found myself drawn to long tables instead of the traditional round ones. I like the modern vibe it creates, and yet it almost feels as though you are sitting down at a traditional family dinner in someone's home.

I love the idea of placing a long fabric or lace runner down the center of a rustic wooden table, and setting simple floral arrangements on top. We will have an outdoor garden reception, so I am thinking that keeping the tables natural, organic, and simple would be best.

Here is a list of a few San Diego party rental companies that I have found to have the best prices.

Happy planning to all of you who are planning a wedding or event!
