Bold Blue Hue

Bold Blue Hue

Lately, I've been grabbing for blue hues while getting dressed each morning. I am quickly realizing that cobalt blue is becoming my new favorite color to wear. I think I gravitate towards it because it is bright and playful, yet sophisticated enough to do business. Above is a classic outfit that is easy to wear, yet fun to look at. The blue and white is a crisp combo, and the statement necklace updates the entire ensemble. Don't forget about adding that pop of pink on your pucker in tribute to Spring.

Have a fresh and fabulous day!

Trendy Bikinis

Trendy Bikinis
I will be heading to Vegas in a couple of weeks for a bachelorette party. The best part about Vegas is lounging at the pool! With that in mind, I am now on the prowl for a new bikini. I typically like bandeau ones because they don't leave tan lines.

What do you think of the ones here?

Affordable Easter Dresses

Hola & Happy Friday! The weekend has arrived! Above are a few outfit ideas that you may want to consider this Easter weekend. Personally, Easter is not complete without a cute little dress and a trip to church of course.
Good luck hunting down those eggs!

Affordable Spring Gear

Affordable Spring Gear

12345678

Happy Wednesday, Plummies! Spring is definitely in full swing here in San Diego. It is warm out, the flowers are blooming, and people are wearing bright and fun colors (I've been seeing so much neon on campus).
Recently, I went to my local tailor and got some thrifted items altered; one piece being an amazing cobalt blue pencil skirt that I practically stole for about $4! I am so excited to wear it with a fun miss-matched top. Anyhow, I have put together a collage of some pieces that I am drawing Spring inspiration from. Above are the numbered links to where you can find all of the items for a great price. Many of which are just below or above $100! <---I dig it!

Spring Time Must Haves

Spring Time Must Haves

Hi Plummies! Above are some hot spring trends that are just screaming my name! This mint Peter Pan shift dress is simply adorable. I can see myself wearing it to graduation, wine-tasting, church, or out to brunch with my ladies. And what's hotter than an ankle-strap pump? This nude one will go with just about anything. What Spring trends are on your mind?

Have a fabulous Thursday, Ya'll!

His, Hers, & Theirs

His', Her's, & Their'sRules are meant to be broken. This is especially true with fashion. Why not pair black with brown? Who says that guys can't wear red pants? Why not wear unisex accessories?  Follow the wisdom of Nike; if it feels right, "Just do it!"

Don't be a conformist, be a reformist. It may take a bit of creativity, effort, and courage, but, at the end of the day, you will rest easy knowing that you stepped out on a limb to walk towards being more
YOU <---which is always a beautiful thing.

Classic Neon

Classic Neon
Do you ever notice being happier when wearing bright colors? I do. Something about putting on a colorful top, or wearing a pop of pink on my lips gets me in a better mood. There has gotta be some clout to that theory right?! Surely there are multiple research articles written by super smart people regarding this very topic...
Anyhow, above is an outfit that I pulled together. I can see myself wearing this to any Spring or Summer special event. Or, throw on some flat sandals and run some errands in style.

Would you ever wear neon?

Urban Lumber Jack

Urban Lumber Jack

Happy Monday! This post goes out to all the male Plummies. The outfit I've pulled together above was inspired by none-other than: Brawny Man. Why wouldn't anyone wanna be like him? He is rugged, most-likely ubber clean, handsome, and oh-so-chic!
First of all, plaid shirts never, ever go out of style; Second, boots are super durable; and third, beanies make any outfit instantly-cool.

So go ahead, get your Brawny on!

Tom's Ballet Flats?!

Tom's Ballet Flats?!

Many of you may despise me for saying this...I am not too fond of the traditional Tom's shoes. I know, I know, many people are obsessed and love them, I just happen not to be one of them. I think they kinda look like ninja shoes. However, I do love their concept; buy one pair, and Tom's will donate one pair to a child in need. With that said, after seeing Tom's new line, I think they may have won me over. I mean, how chic are these ballet flats?! According to my budget, they are a bit on the pricey side, but the charitable aspect makes me feel okay about spending the extra dough.

I was sad to find that they are back-ordered online til further notice. They must be selling like hot cakes! I will try my luck at going to Nordstrom to see if they have any in stock. What are your thoughts on Tom's shoes?

Bright Bags for Spring

Bright Bags for Spring

I hope your Thursday is off to a great start! Above is a little collage I created. Can you tell I'm a bit excited for Spring?

I'm someone who uses the same bag over and over...Probably because I am just too lazy to transfer all the content from one bag to the next. Lately, I've been thinking it's time for a bright change to get me in the Spring-time mood; So, I am on the market for a new tote bag for school, and perhaps a new clutch or shoulder bag for the weekends.

Many of the above bags are pretty affordable, but you know me, I like things CHEAP...So, I will attempt to find similar bags on discount. If not, I will just purchase one for regular price.

Hi, ho, hi, ho, off to the thrift store I go!

J Crew tote handbag, $348
J Crew leather bag, $238
J Crew j crew bag, $148
Kate Spade pocket bag, $78
H M zip bag, £30
Forever 21 crossbody handbag, $23
Old Navy mini bag, $16

Revlon Lip Butters Review

Lip Butters

Hello & happy hump day to all you Plummies out there! Above is the fairly new Revlon Lip Butters. There was a whole lot of hype about these little guys in Youtube Land...and I gotta say, the hype was right! These things are fabulous! They give me the right amount of color without feeling overly made up, and the moisture is great (not too sticky at all!). I'd say they are the perfect blend between a lipstick and lip balm. Also, pretty affordable, at about $7 at most drugstores.

Peach Parfait is my everyday-color that I've been wearing for about 2 months. My next favorites are: Berry Smoothie (natural/ bringht-pinkish) and Strawberry Shortcake (nude-pinkish).

Below is a rather in-depth review of all the colors in the collection from the adorable Miss Glamorazzi

Car Essentials

Car Essentials

My life is very busy. I am constantly running errands, attending meetings, going to and from class and work...a big chunk of my day is spent traveling to those various places in my car. That is why it makes sense to utilize and stock my car in a way that makes life convenient and functional. Above is a video of Maria Menounous (one of my role models), as she explains what things are crucial to keep in your car.

Make that money, Honey!

Make that money, Honey!

Happy Monday morning! Hopefully work doesn't always feel like work. In the event that it does, at least you can be doing it in style. Looking and dressing great is by far not the most important thing in this world; however, it does tend to make people feel more confident. And hey, I say: the more confidence, the better! I have pulled together some basic work-attire pieces. These pieces can generally suit any body shape for women of any age. These pieces are so versatile because they can be mixed and matched; they can even transition from day to evening when paired with the right accessories, which means you get the most bang for your buck (which I always love)!

How will you be celebrating?

Top It Off

I found this adorable panda beanie when I visited some friends up in San Francisco last Winter.  I regret not buying it because I have been trying to find one just like it ever since :( One of the great things about these colder months is wearing fun and cozy hats to warm my noggin. Slouchy beanies are my favorite because they give an instant relaxed-chic look to any outfit. Plus, they do a great job of hiding a bad hair day.
Below are some great options to top off your day...

1. Grey shawl, £17
2. Ollie Nic flower hat, £22
3. All Saints slouchy beanie hat, $30
4. TopShop wool knit hat, £18

5. Monsoon acrylic hat, £17
6. ASOS wool knit hat, $18
7. Dorothy Perkins fake fur hat, $28
