Many of you may have heard the news...I got engaged while in romantic Seville!!! So, obviously, I will be posting my pics from the trip once I return back home on Friday, and begin my wedding planning with you all each week. Can't wait! Adios for now <3

Happy Friday, Plummies! I feel a thrift store visit coming up very soon! Thrift stores are the best place to buy super inexpensive frames and mirrors. I have a blank wall in my living room that could use a bit of personality. I have been daydreaming of buying a bunch of multi-size frames and spray painting them white. Within the frames, I could place my favorite personal black and white photos, fashion magazine ads, and custom doodles. It would be my very own mini art exhibit!

What are your thoughts? Too much?

Morning, Plummies! "Count Down to Spain" has officially begun. With 5 days left, I am tying up loose ends here at home. This afternoon Karl and I created a tentative itinerary of all the things we would love to do in Spain. Many of the things on our list are actually FREE, which will be great for my budget.
In addition to creating a budget and itinerary, I have found myself studying the map of Spain and watching some documentaries about Spain to get better acquainted with Spanish culture and history. I find that researching the countries that I travel to prior to the trip allows a deeper appreciation for everything I see and do. Looking at a monument is more significant when you know the history and struggle associated with it...ya know? ;)
And of course...I am obviously excited to pack my bag with cute little outfits. I am inspired by the 'fits above. Isn't that white lace maxi dress fab?!!!?

"Shake it like a __________"

"Shake it like a Polaroid picture"

Happy June 12th, Plummies! You know what is so special about today?...EVERYTHING! Who says there needs to be a holiday to celebrate, right?!

Anyhoo, Remember those clunky Polaroid cameras from the 80's? Well, they are baaaaack, and more durable than ever. My good friends Katie and Melissa know how addicted I am to cameras, so for my birthday they cleverly found the prefect gift. They got me an all-white, Fiji instant camera (pictured above). Now, I can relive the nostalgia of my youth when ever I want! Thanks gals, I absolutely love it!

"...Hey ye-ah! Heeee, eee, yah! Shake it like a polaroid picture..."

Kettlebell Workout

Good Morning, Plummies! Working out has always been a large part of my life, yet lately, I've been so lazy (Probably due to my long work days). My boyfriend introduced me to the Kettle Bell Swing. It is a great routine for me because it is quick and effective. This simple workout basically targets all the major muscle groups of the body in no time at all.
You can buy a 25 or 35 lbs kettlebell for about $60-$75, or you can make one yourself if you have some extra supplies at home. Above, I used a homemade kettlebell by fastening 2, 10lbs plates to a couple pipes. The handle was created with good old fashion duct tape. Gotta be thrifty, ya know! ;)
Last week, I was at the gym and used a 35lbs bell and did 1 set of 75 swing reps. Let me tell ya, I have never been more sore in my life! Really! You ideally want to do this workout only 2 times per week <---sweet deal, huh?!

This Past Weekend...

Oh boy, what a whirl wind of graduation festivities these past two weeks have been! As you can tell, I've been M.I.A. from the blogosphere due to all the graduation celebrations going on. This past weekend, I was lucky enough to have many of my fabulously-fun family and friends travel near and far to partake in celebrating me conquer grad school.

On Friday, my good friend, past roomie, and old school sorority sister, Nico and I spent the day shopping our butts off. Later, we found ourselves working our butts off with a new kettle bell regimen. On Saturday morning, we woke up early to attend a relaxing beach yoga class before the rest of the posse began filtering into town.

Saturday we had a yummy dinner at Firehouse Bar and Grill, then jumped in cabs to head downtown for a champagne toast atop the Icon building, before ending the evening shaking our stuff at Fluxx.

Sunday afternoon we had a picnic at my favorite park (Kate Sessions), which overlooks all of beautiful San Diego (Brrrr! It was so chilly!)

Special Thanks to My mommy, Karl,
and my sissy-poo for making this weekend so special. Also, a special thank u to all of my friends who traveled so far to spend time with me. Thank you all (Sean, Carlos, Nico, Becky, Gilbert, Brian, Katie H, Katie P., Anthony, Ben, Kyle, Ehren, Timmy, Paul, Tara, Tita Ofelia, TanTan, Emily, Ethan, Cheryl, Richard, Meg, Oscar, Jackie, Kelly, Jo, Cathleen, Veronica, Josh, Hilary, Matt...did I forget anyone?) for making me feel so loved. I am grateful for having each and every one of you in my life.
Xo
