Up a mountain I go...

Yup, I like to go hiking! I especially like it when I wake up the next morning and my entire body is sore; That's when you know you've had a really good workout.
Things I don't really like about hiking: falling on my a$$, having to navigate around people on a narrow trail, stepping in dog poop, carrying dog poop, having to lug a water bottle around, and being upset when my iPod dies.
Things I love about hiking: being outdoors, the view from the top, the feeling of accomplishment, the great workout, and the golden tan.
Hiking Essentials: hat, shorts, tank top, sports bra, sturdy running shoes, iPhone, earbuds, sunnies, water bottle, sunblock, lightweight backpack. If I bring Benny: dog leash, poop baggies, collapsable water bowl.

  1. I absolutely LOVE hiking as well! Since we moved up to Winchester (east of Temecula) I've been looking at hiking trails in the area. Since I have kids I needed to find "child friendly" trails, but ended up at Dripping Springs Trails in the Agua Tibia Wilderness It's fairly easy going for the most part but can be pretty strenous in some parts going uphill. Warnings of rattlesnakes and sights of moutain lions were posted at the beginning of the trail (what trail doesn't?). After about 3 miles uphill had to call it quits because all me and my husband heard was "I'm tired" but proud my kids made it that far! Definitely plan on the hike again with some friends I've met up here, without kids of course!

    1. C,
Sounds like fun! Yea, I am so impressed that the kids lasted 3 miles uphill! That would definitely be another challenge in and of itself (having kids come along.) Anyhow, I've been meaning to go wine tasting in Temecula. Is there a vineyard I should know about?

  2. I LOVE to go hiking. I try to go every Sunday after church and there is so much hiking up here in the East Bay area. My favorite hike so far has been Las Trampas starting in Danville, but Mt. Diablo and Missions Peak were both amazing hikes as well!

I am so jealous that you get to enjoy all of those amazing SF trails with their gorgeous views! I definitely need to trek up there sometime soon. Maybe once I graduate this May... :)
